Met Police officers and paramedics raced to the scene in Brixton Hill on Saturday afternoon.
The cyclist – a woman aged in her 30s – was rushed to a south London hospital after the crash, which happened at about 12.20pm.

Brixton Blog journalist Dolores posted a picture from the scene and wrote alongside it: “Cyclist seriously injured in collision with a motorbike on Brixton Hill.”
Another man named Marco also posted a photo and tweeted: “Brixton Hill closed. Avoid area.”
The crash comes after a week of carnage on London’s roads in which cyclists Ben Wales and Karla Roman, both 32, and Anita Szucs, 30, died in the space of just four days.
Two pedestrians, a man and a woman who have not been identified, were also killed in seperate crashes in Limehouse and Euston this week.
Hundreds of activists gathered for a “die-in” protest outside the Treasury on Saturday to pay tribute to the victims and call on the Government to make the roads safer for cyclists.
The “die-in” was organised by campaign group Stop Killing Cyclists as part of a wider demonstration demanding that Chancellor Philip Hammond increases investment in the UK’s cycling and pedestrian infrastructure to 10 per cent of the transport budget.
Witnesses to the collision in Brixton on Saturday have been urged to contact police.
A police cordon was put in place around the Lambert Road junction of Brixton Hill, with motorists warned to avoid the area.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Next of kin have been informed.
“No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.16pm today to reports of a road traffic collision at Brixton Hill, SW2.
“We sent two ambulance crews and a single responder in a car.
“We treated one patient at the scene and took them as a priority to a hospital in south London.
“We also checked over another patient but they declined conveyance to hospital.”
